WAY TO GO RED SOX!!!

This was the best I could do to celebrate… bought something called a
“Boston bun” at the supermarket (though as far as I know, it has nothing
to do with Boston), then made a makeshift Red Sox logo with strawberry jam.
Hurrah!!!
World Series Champs! Wish I were home to celebrate this one.
I just answered a ref question at work for someone in a library in Auckland and thought “I haven’t read Charles’ blog in a while!” Nice Red Sox cake! I love that you always take pictures of your food. Anyway, I didn’t think they cared about baseball down there, don’t they play cricket?
It has been an amazing 2 weeks for Red Sox fans, did you get to watch any of the games? I wish I could have gone to the parade too, but they had it on Tuesday, of all the stupid times.
Did I read that your job is archiving files? that’s what I do all day, you went all the way to New Zealand to end up with a job just like mine? that’s pretty crazy, but it looks like NZ is much more fun than connecticut!
Well they don’t really care about baseball down here, but American news and sports still does get some coverage because we ARE the greatest country in the world. Unfortunately, the only way I could “watch” the games was by viewing the gamecast… so a lot of imagination was necessary. Then I’d watch the highlights reel the next day.
Yeah, it’s fun here, very different from life at home… but at the moment, there’s SOOOOOOOoooooo much drama… I’ll have to write about it all once I get out of Auckland in a few weeks. The time will let me gain some perspective on it all.
