Year of the Kiwi

Ugh… 3 dollars for an hour of internet at my hostel. What a rip off… anyway, here are a few pictures from the past few days.

If I wasn’t the best a few years ago, I’d brag about it too.

Expressways winding around downtown Auckland.

I’m glad to have moved out of the downtown area because as you can tell by the HBSC bank and pagoda, there’s a huge Asian influence down there… might as well be in Hong Kong.

Inside of my car… all flipped around.

The bottom bunk is mine… 4 beds in a small room… a bit like prison I reckon, but it’s home for now.

These billboard for HELL are all over the place. This one has Russell Crowe; there’s also one with Hitler, Julie Andrews, and the Pope. And what are they advertising? It’s a pizza joint.

Kiwis, naturally.

Imagine a jump-ball in a basketball game, but your teamates can lift you up to get more height.

A lot of the new homes look like something out of Architectual Digest. 

I started noticing how there were a ton of shell fragments on the beach; supposedly it’s illegal to remove them. Poor girl with no shoes.

Too bad it’s winter.

Uh oh… there’s trouble going down.

BTW… Sox are back to 7.5 games ahead of Yankees. Suckas!
